I work in vibrant acrylics on large canvases. My paintings are unapologetically joyful, bold, bright and alive with energy that refuses to whisper when it can sing. Scale matters to me. These aren’t paintings you glance at; they’re paintings you step into.

I paint with gestural freedom, letting acrylic’s quick-drying nature push me toward spontaneity rather than overworking. This medium rewards confidence and punishes hesitation, which suits the spirit of the work.

My process predominantly involves a spontaneous and intuitive approach, allowing my emotions and subconscious to guide the creation of each piece. Very often my works are telling a secret story. I like painting with a metaphorical and interpretive value. This invites viewers to embark upon their own journey of interpretation and self-discovery. What YOU see is more important than my intentions.

The florals seem to come quickly and are easily recognizable. The figuratives and all overs take a bit longer. All are created using low - high viscosity acrylics, acrylic ink, alcohol (rubbing), water, squeegees, brushes, hands and other things nearby at the time of creation. I paint horizontally and usually have 2-4 going simultaneously.

Sometimes things are very apparent. Mostly they are not. I strive to blur the worlds of realism and abstraction. I love the words ish, blur, hazy and indistinct. So, which one is it? You’re not quite sure? I like it when you struggle a bit and feel the tension the imbalance causes. Can you find the story? Is that a face or a body or neither? You’re not sure? Mission accomplished.
