As an artist working within the realm of Abstract Expressionism, I strive to create a visceral and emotive experience through my art. My work is a visual language that transcends the confines of representation, inviting viewers to engage with the raw essence of human expression.

Through bold and gestural brushstrokes, vibrant colors and dynamic compositions, I aim to convey the depth and complexity of the human experience. My process involves a spontaneous and intuitive approach, allowing my emotions and subconscious to guide the creation of each piece. While my work may not adhere to a specific formula, narrative or recognizable form, it invites viewers to embark on their own journey of interpretation in self-discovery.

It might be best to see a lot but not know too much. With this, one can create and paint without fear or restraint. Sometimes paintings are started with a mood, an emotion or a personality trait. Sometimes they start with nothing at all - the painting starts talking to you and tells you where it wants to go, what it needs. A battle and wonderful journey ensues. Through abstraction, I aim to break free from the constraints of traditional representation and challenge the viewer to open themselves to new possibilities.

As Robert Henri most adeptly stated in his book The Art Spirit, "a work of art is the trace of a magnificent struggle". I hope you enjoy these works as much as I have in creating them.
